Les vacances studieuses à French in Normandy 夏休み中にフランスへ、フランス語を学ぼうと語学留学に訪れる外国人がたくさんいます。 年間約1700名、47の国籍がフレンチ・インノルマンディーのあるルーアンに訪れます。 滞在期間は、様々で１週間～１年と長期滞在の学生もいて、ホストファミリーに入る学生もいれば、学生寮に入ることも可能です。 学生たちは、フランス語の授業だけでなく、放課後の無料アクティビティー、エクスカーション、お料理教室など多彩なアクティビティーを楽しんでいます。 （講師）「フランス人だからといって、全てのフランス人が蛙の足を食べるわけではないし、必ずしも、ベレー帽にバゲットを持っているわけでもない。」 （マリカ）「ステレオタイプは間違いではないけれど、現地で、本物のフランス生活を体験してほしいと思っています」 フレンチ・イン・ノルマンディーでは、フランス語だけではなく、フランス文化も学ぶことができます。 課外アクティビティーには、お料理教室、絵画教室（もちろん全てがフランス語で）や、美術館巡り、エクスカーション等を通して、言語だけでないフランス文化をも学んでもらいます。 本日のエクスカーションは、オンフルール市街と、植物園Naturoscopeの散策です。 （学生1）「フランス語の文法を学ぶのは、もちろん大切だけれども、日常生活は、それだけではない。フランス語でのコミュニケーションも同じぐらい大切だと思います。」 （学生2）「私はフランスの文化を知らないので、本場で学べてとても嬉しいです。」 47か国の学生たちが、フランス語だけでのコミュニケーションのためにルーアンに集まってきています。エクスカーションは、フランス人と学生が交流できる最適の機会となります。 （学生3）「言語の勉強だけでなく、フランス以外からの人々との交流もでき、他国のことも学べる、とても素晴らしい機会だと思います」 学校の学生数は増え続けているので、現在はホストファミリーを探しているそうです。
